This is the exact kind of content that a lot of people of bully breeds are out there looking for. This is the play style for most bully breeds because in general they have some pretty strong personality's. it is loud and it's intimidating to watch and hear but at the end of the day they are playing. If you ever had the unfortunate pleasure of watching true fighting coming into play then you know that it is after a moment of stillness and silence and tension builds the air. If you know what you're looking for you can catch it at this time. But if you miss this silence and stillness then something's going to pop off. It is way too often that our own anxiety or nervousness that immediately comes on strong when you hear that sound, that sound so traumatic after you have witnessed fights happen, often, is the trigger that causes everything to go wrong in a second. It is important to point out they are also showing dominance through play in a way that doesn't require aggression. this is how dogs workout their place in this world of dogs without having to escalate towards aggressive behaviors. Generally when it is play, and they know where they stand with each other, they're getting along good, they will take turns being the guy on the bottom. It is important for our dogs to be able to play because if ever they are to get into a situation with another dog, this is the only way that they are able to learn how to counter the attack. They practice with a litter mates when they're little, they practice with their mama, they practice all through their lives. But at the end of the day they're just having a good time and getting out some much-needed pent-up energy and they will be better for it when you get back home. Some dogs do not enjoy play though. That doesn't mean anything is wrong with your dog, it only means that they are more of an observer and a thinking dog rather than a happy-go-lucky playful one but the thinkers have their own set of perks. And then you have your instinctual crew that are more concerned with sniffing around and exploring and looking for something to catch because it's just their favorite thing to do.
