“This is not the “classic” story you are probably used to hearing of many kids’ brands whose founders are super mums, who, in addition to starting their maternity adventure, they create their own brand to design products they did not find in other brands.
In our case, KARINÚ was born directly from the desire to make the world be aware of Pima cotton, our main raw material.
We discovered Pima cotton during a trade fair and it was love at first sight. The incredibly soft touch impressed us. After not much thinking needed, we decided that the differentiating factor would go through by producing clothes for those who live the sweetest and most important years of life, babies.
We got bored of living surrounded by big cities, big corporations, big teams, big projects, in a nutshell… everything was big, except our self-satisfaction and our freedom feeling.
Every dream requires some incubation time, and this is what happened. We parked the idea for a while, until we felt it was THE moment. We guess every entrepreneur has ‘its right moment’ to start.
In September 2019, we decided it was time and finally got down to work!
At that time, we did not know what the year 2020 would bring us. But despite everything … and we can say that “Everything” is tremendously wide this year … Here we are! We are delighted to share our project with you, but above all with your babies, who deserve all the tenderness we have put in each item of our collections. We hope that by the time you
read this, you have already had the opportunity to experience the Pima cotton, and understand what we are talking about and why we decided to launch it and make it known.
We managed to do all this, by respecting as much as we can the most valuable thing we all have, our planet. We are not perfect, nor do we claim to be. We know that we still have a long way to go to be even more respectful. We are firm believers that each step, gesture we take, each one of us, must be positive.
Everything that is in our hands and that we can do to respect the planet’s resources, we will do it and we are committed to make it better."
